Questions about scent, post and refills.

How does the discovery set credit work?
Every set ships with a single-use code worth £22. Use it on any 50 ml bottle within twelve months and the set has cost you nothing. It works online, by phone and at the bench.
How long does a 50 ml bottle last?
At three or four sprays a day, about five months. Our eaux de parfum are 15–20% concentration, so you need fewer sprays than with most high-street fragrances.
How long does it last on skin?
Between six and ten hours depending on the fragrance and your skin, longer on clothes. Each fragrance page gives the figure our panel measured on skin, not on paper.
How do refills work?
Order a refill, post your empty 50 ml bottle to the bench with the free label we email you, and we refill it from the current batch for £96. It is back with you within a week.
When will my order arrive?
We dispatch on Tuesday and Friday. UK delivery is free and takes one to two working days after dispatch. Europe costs £12, the rest of the world £24.
Can I return a fragrance?
Unopened bottles can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. That is what the discovery set is for: try everything on your own skin first, then buy the one you want.
Are your fragrances vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. Nothing we use is animal-derived and nothing is tested on animals. Every formula meets current IFRA safety standards, and full ingredient lists are printed on the box.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Yes, to Europe for £12 and the rest of the world for £24. Some countries restrict posting alcohol-based fragrance; we will tell you before charging if yours does.
Can I visit the bench?
Bench open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00–17:00. Scent consultations by appointment. A consultation takes about forty minutes and is free if you buy a bottle.
Do you make bespoke fragrances?
Not at the moment. With two people and four batches a year we would rather make four fragrances properly than many occasionally.
How should I store my fragrance?
Away from sunlight and heat, with the cap on. A drawer is better than a bathroom windowsill. Stored well, an opened bottle keeps for three years or more.
